Lori and I are getting ready to celebrate our 46th anniversary. We have 4 kids and 4 grandkids spread across the US . I am twice retired now and fill my time doing library book sales and am active as the Chairman of the Norman Library Advisory Board and Vice President of the Tricity Gun Club. I sent in the below information prior to the 50th re-union. Just want to update it with the status of my daughter. She is off to Central Michigan to compete on their gymnastics team and she will be a double major: Math and Statistics. She is also currently in the running for the National High School Wendy's Heisman Award - see the link below - enjoy, gary Here is an article about Shaila qualifying for the Wendy’s High School Heisman Award. When you get to the site below, click on page 2, in the middle of the page the part on Shaila begins with “Off to Michigan” – enjoy gary Began career doing mathematical modeling for Bell Labs (BS, MS in Math). Changed careers, now in Learning and OD (MA, Ph.D. in Psychology). Several business trips to Europe (Italy, Germany, Spain, France, England) as part of work. Most significant event in my life is easily the adoption of my daughter from China. Shaila Dulcinea Segal (a.k.a. Ting Qin) is now a 15 year old sophomore and current CT and NE Gymnastic Champion. If you look at the Guestbook, you can see an overview of Shaila completed by WFSB TV out of Hartford. We are all about the same age - but with a 15 year old, I am continuing to work - have you seen what colleges cost these days???. Although, when you love what you do, it is not really work. My husband Nadav and I have been married for 40 years. Nadav spent most of his career in the field of computers. I spent most of my working life as office support staff, and at age 50, I began teaching Hebrew school, a job I loved. I retired to become an actively involved grandmother. Nadav and I have two sons. Amitai, his wife Rebecca and their son Jonah live in Columbus, Ohio. Ahud and his wife Alisha have twins--Yael and Gavi--and a younger son Eitan. They live in Granada Hills, California. Both Nadav and I are retired. He has continued his independent studies in Jewish subjects. I work on home-improvement projects and participate in the Pomegranate Guild of Judaic Needlework. |
